Light your fires and make a toast,
Welcome in the Samhain ghosts.
Give your thanks for the passing year,
As the darkness has drawn near.
We offer a blessing this Samhain night.
That your flames will be shining bright.
May you and your loved ones gather round,
And enjoy the season’s magickal delights.

Thank you very much! We will count our blessings and celebrate with a fire as it is finally cool enough for one. Thanks for the visit!

Thank you! I hope Halloween in your neighborhood was good and the girls kept the goblins and wild animals away!

We had no trick-or-treaters’s so it was very quiet.

I had to look up the meaning of Samhein!

I really should have explained what it is! Maybe next year.

I must say: given a choice between Samhain and the overabundance of fiberglass skeletons and such at Home Depot, I’ll build a fire and enjoy the night!

It was one of our rare perfect fall nights. We don’t give out candy anymore since most of the kids in our neighborhood we knew have grown up. We celebrated on the patio with a fire in the fire pit fueled with small limbs I gather. A little wine and it was a quiet evening at Briar Cottage. The harvest of life was something to be grateful for. Cheers!

Love this! Such a cozy, mystical vibe. Makes me want to light a fire and gather round… though right now I’m just waiting for my carpet cleaners to finish up. 😂 Happy Samhain, everyone!
