It has been a very wet 2015 spring. Chac has been generous and my rain barrels are full!

This is the first day of spring! The winter here was mild and short as we have had an early spring. The live oaks shed their leaves early and the mesquites put out their lacy green finery. The rain has made everything a boost. Last year we had an early spring also which meant we had a long summer. Maybe it won’t be as hot and dry this time.
We have planted tomatoes and red & yellow bell pepper in pots. My herbs survived the mild winter quite well. Even my basil survived and is multiplying as it is coming up in pots everywhere and in one spot near the deck it is coming up like weeds! I will have plenty to share. As the first day of spring arrives I am grateful for all that I have.
I wanted to check out a spring post in honor of spring finally being here where I live in Canada :)Are you growing herbs in spring 2015? 🙂

Yes, I am growing herbs again – mint, basil, parsley, oregano, onions, jalapano peppers, bell peppers, tomatos, chile piquen, estevia. We have had a very wet spring here this year. Enjoy your Canadian spring!

Oh how wonderful about all you are growing there! My parents grow tomatoes, mint and parsley, as well as strawberries. I hope to have more room to do so one day!
