That’s very creative. Love it

I thought it was creative too and different from the usual graveyards, ghosts, witches and pumpkins. Thanks for taking time to view and comment!

She is definitely on trend with the purple hair.

I thought she was trendy too. It just seemed ludicrous for a mummy to have purple hair – so unexpected. Thanks for sharing your thought!

It just stopped me in my tracks! A guy was coming from the back yard as I pulled out my phone. I asked if I could take a photo and he said, “Sure! This is not my house – it’s my brother-in-laws house. I just stopped by to pick up something he borrowed from me.”

Such a difference from my day. The best people put out were jack-o’-lanterns. If I was a little kid today, I might even be afraid to go out. Some yards go to such lengths to be scary. But then, I’m really dating myself, aren’t I, Jo?

Well, I am right there with you! I used to put out cute little pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns and cats with witch hats on the front porch. I didn’t want to scare anyone! Last month I gathered it all and gave it to Goodwill. Not everyone in the neighborhood decorates but it is fun to see what people do. This one was just so simple and classy. I can imagine the owners having an adult Halloween party there. Unfortunately, I don’t know them as they as one street over.

They did look as if they had a story to tell over drinks! Wonder how long they have been together? Have a good weekend, John, as cooler arrives!

Well spotted, Jo Nell. Elegant mummies indeed! And uncomfortably life-like. The first scary movie I saw as a child was Bud Abbot and Lou Costello Meet the Mummies. It terrified me. I still can’t watch horro movies… Abbot and Costello scared me forever. Cheers Virginia

Oh, I saw that one too and never did like mummy movies or horror movies either. These elegant mummies would be interesting guests! I may have to meet these neighbors who decorate so elegantly. They must drink wine and listen to classical music!

And I actually took the picture myself! Husband usually does. Thanks for the visit!

The mummies are great, but that wreath — it looks like someone’s left-over sargasso weed. Now, that’s spooky!

You are the only one who has commented on the wreath. It set the scene too. I don’t know what is made of but it just hung there like a black weed that came from the mummies’ tomb. I like your description. It was not a cutesy wreath. Thanks for sharing your observation.

Glad you liked them! Cooler weather this morning – 50 degrees – freezing for us so fall must be here. Cheers, Sue!

Yes, they are but I have given up on Halloween decorating. I don’t think they did it way back when

How cute! I must admit that, as much as I would like to be, I have never been called, “timeless, classic and trendy.” Maybe someday?

I may be a classic but never trendy. Nice to have you visit.

I can see why the two figures stopped you in your tracks, a classy decoration for Halloween.

They were rather unusual and for adults somehow. Today when I jogged by they added more pumpkins. Still classy. Cheers! I wonder what kind of treats they will have…..

It could have been mermaid hair, don’t you think? Yes, the wreath was just scary too. Thanks for the Halloween visit!
