The last time I was in Preservation Hall (just before Katrina) there were no chairs. We had to stand. It was packed

What a most marvelous and interesting place. I am embarrassed to say I have not heard of it before now. I bet the experience of being there is incredible.

It was packed, hot and standing room only but it was worth it. New Orleans is full of surprises around every corner and we always seem to find something new.

We have been back a couple of times since Katrina. It was good to see the city doing better and it helped erase those horrid images!

We were in Houston 85 -87 and in the spring of 87 we went to New Orleans for five days and I was in seventh heaven.. apart from sitting in some of the courtyards listening to authentic jazz I was also introduced to some good old Cajun music and cooking. Great reminder thank you.

Houston has its charm also. I lived there eons ago and go back often. New Orleans has an intimate heart and has something for every one. The small courtyards are part of the charm. And the food! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you get back to NO soon!

Another place on my list… drove through New Orleans decades ago on our way to California from Texas but didn’t stop long enough to see anything… one day!!!!!
