Love shifts
like silky summer clouds
or frolicking waves.
We adapt to the challenges
of love year by year.
You take my hand and
we slow dance on the rug in the living room.
Sunlight warms our souls
while moonlight covers us with dreams.
Our young lovers embrace only in the past.
Take my hand…walk with me…
into this brave new world.
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY
2015
I like the image you painted…feels like home within heart
Hope you are having a wonderful Valentines Day and are slow dancing somewhere 🙂

I am so glad you got the meaning. We were fortunate to have found each other when we did. Vintage love is good. I know you had a very special Valentine dinner – lucky you also! Thanks for the kind words.

Lovely sentiment, so well expressed
Young love is thinner, one dimensional (even if that dimension if very strong), very very nice but unsophisticated. It really can get better and better!

Thank you very much for the suggestion! I did that this morning. And thank you for visiting my humble blog and deciding to follow! I will be checking out yours. Poetry, chocolate and books – some of my favorite things. Perhaps I can learn more from your blog.

it’s a lovely, romantic poem. my wife and i find that “mature” love has its challenges, but lots of rewards, as well.
