Weather for the Thanksgiving holiday was outstanding with sunny clear skies and mild and pleasant temperatures. For us on the coast it is this perfect fall weather that makes us glad we stuck it out through the hell-hot summer. Night rewards us with the mystery of moonlight cascading down on water as smooth as sea glass.
The day after Thanksgiving Grandson, taking a break from college, took these photos as he rode his bike along the bay. I could not resist sharing part of my Texas coast as I have much to be thankful for this holiday season.

Our Texas weather can change quickly! A norther blew in this afternoon and dropped the temperature into the 40’s but by the day after it should be warm again. But the Thanksgiving weather was truly perfect. Hugs and peace across the pond to you also.

I love our Texas coast, it is beautiful, even the rigs add a strange beauty though I wish they would stop building them. North Texas was also wonderful for Thanksgiving, though we have now dropped our pretense at Autumn and are now back down in the thirties. Truly I miss South Texas.

It is a simple coast compared to others. The rigs won’t go away in my lifetime. North Texas gets the worst – heat and cold. Come back some time to visit.

Can I tell you, that I love that Texas changes weather almost daily. After living in Florida, and hardly nothing changes…boring!!!! But Thanksgiving day sure was beautiful and perfect wasn’t it?

Weather than never changed would get boring, I guess. At least we have an excuse to change our wardrobe and pull out the boots and sweaters a few times. Thanksgiving was outstanding! We will see what weather Christmas Day brings! One year we had snow on Christmas Eve and another it froze. But most of the time Christmas Day is mild.

I am always curious about how and where my dear friends live. It is thrilling to look at the gorgeous photographs of your coast line Jo Nell, and to read about your pleasant weather. November and early December is monsoon time here on the West Coast. Torrential rains turn the grass thick, velvety and green and my hair frizzy. XXOO V.
